PAYROLL I - Paying Employees

This course will equip you with all the basics to enable you to set up your organisation to function as an employer incorporating a payroll system.

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

• Understand their responsibilities as an employer
• Set up and pay new employees on their payroll
• Calculate their employee’s pay manually together with tax and National Insurance Contribution (NIC) due using tables
• Pay Inland Revenue the correct amount of tax and NIC

This course will be suitable for those who want to refresh their payroll skills. It is also to equip organisations and groups who have recently taken on or are considering taking on new staff.
