Management Reporting

Course objectives

This course is about being in control of your money. That is keeping and staying on top of things.

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

  • prepare different types of management accounts that will enable them to plan and monitor their organisation’s finances
  • generate and write up a variety of management information reports e.g. budget, cashflow, activities and funding reports
  • prepare reports to highlight exceptional issues so as to take immediate and proactive action
  • investigate and monitor the reasons for budget variations and write up appropriate action reports

This course is suitable for treasurers, management committee members and those who are responsible for preparing and monitoring budgets, such as financial staff, project coordinators and directors. To get the most of this course, you should have attended the financial planning and budgeting course and/ or have some knowledge of accounting.
